If you're looking for inspiration for your wedding invitations, look no further!
There're plenty of couples who print the design they've created in Canva with Peterkin, so we recently posted a three-part video series to show how you can do it too.
If you're looking to get all the specs on Grace's suite featured in the series, scroll down to read all about it!
Getting Started
You have your design and you're ready to print... but where do you start?
The first thing to consider before placing your order is deciding what card stock to print your design on.
We have an extensive range of paper and card so here's a few things to think about:
What colour(s) are you looking for?
- If choosing a colourful stock (i.e. not white), have you considered how the colours from your design(s) will appear once printed? See: Digital printing on coloured stocks
What texture paper/card would you prefer? And what texture is most suitable for your design(s)?
Samples
We often say nothing beats seeing (and feeling) the stocks in your own hands. Our pics and vids look great but never fully give them the justice they deserve!
- Samples for paper, card and envelopes are available to purchase unprinted, as well as offering digitally printed samples of your designs.
- We also have many sample packs like our Texture Guide, Letterpress Pack and Luxe Printing services pack if you're looking to take your design to the next level and want a glimpse at the extra Peterkin magic to add to your invitations.
Prepping Your Design for Print
Before you download your Canva design, there's a few things to check before you order.
To ensure we can deliver the best results for you, your design must follow our Artwork Guidelines.
Essential artwork rules
- Correct design size - ensure your design is in millimetres (mm). Canva defaults to pixels (px) which is very different! (We will print the file size as supplied by you.)
- Image quality - if an image appears blurry or pixelated in your design file, it will print that way.
- Bleed, crop marks and the safe area - if you don't know what they are, we've got a breakdown here. If your Canva design requires bleed, read this article: Adding bleed to your design in Canva
- If you'd like one of our die cut shapes - then you must use our templates to make sure your design fits.
- Download your design as a PDF for Print file in CMYK colour format.
