Yes, you can. The way you set up your design for combining these Print Styles is different to setting up for Digital Gold and Silver on their own.
Don't create separate pages for the Digital Gold or Silver elements and the CMYK Colour printed elements. Your design should all be on the same page.
You'll need to follow our instructions to set up your design correctly for this type of printing (scroll down for Canva instructions).
Please provide an extra page in your artwork PDF as a 'mockup', so we can see what you're trying to achieve.
Design set up (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or a program that can create a Spot Colour)
The parts of your design to be printed in Digital Gold or Silver must be a SPOT COLOUR (see below).
It's important that your Illustrator or InDesign document is using the CMYK profile.
- In the Swatch Options panel create a new Spot Colour
Digi Gold + CMYK
Parts of the design to be printed in Digital Gold should be a Red Spot Colour (CMYK 0/100/100/0) and named: Gold
Any other parts of the design to be printed in CMYK are fine to be left as a mix of CMYK.
Digi Silver + CMYK
Elements to be printed in Digital Silver should be a Cyan Spot colour (CMYK 100/0/0/0) and named: Silver
The rest of your artwork should remain in the CMYK colour(s) that you would like it to be printed in.
Double check that the color type is set to “Spot Color” not “Process Color” which is usually the default.
Design Set Up - Canva
If you’re using Canva (which can’t create spot colours) use these Hex values for Gold or Silver instead:
Gold: #ff0000 (Red)
Silver: #00ffff (Cyan)
The rest of your artwork should remain in the CMYK colour(s) that you would like it to be printed in.
