- Computer screens render colours in RGB, digital printing is 4 colour CMYK, it's impossible to reproduce the vibrancy of onscreen colours (and not all colours are achievable with digital CMYK printing).
- We colour calibrate our digital presses daily to minimise colour variation, however consistency is not 100% guaranteed, this is simply the nature of digital CMYK printing. There's potentially a 3% acceptable variance in colour from the first proof to the final product.
- Never underestimate the difference a stock can make to your colours. When choosing a colour please take into account what stock it will be printed on. One colour will appear differently when printed on different stocks.

If you're working in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or a similar professional design program, make sure your Document Colour Profile is set to CMYK, not RGB. This is vital for your job to produce desirable results.

If you're working in Canva or a program that only allows you design in RGB or HEX please be aware that your on-screen colours will be converted to available/similar CMYK colours when creating your PDF and/or by our machines.
It is possible to convert colours in Canva Pro to CMYK - but it's a little complicated and not recommended unless you're confident you can follow the instructions properly.

Matching to a sample print
We highly recommend ordering digitally printed samples before committing to a larger print run. Samples are a fantastic way to check your artwork, see how your design looks on different card or paper stocks and to get an idea of the colour result.
- We keep samples for reference for 3 months.
- Only digital prints that are specifically ordered as PRINTED SAMPLES are kept for reference.
- You’ll need to refer to your sample when making future orders. Please provide the order date of the sample and the PET order number so we can produce the closest colour match we can.
- We can’t use samples for reference if you’ve made any changes and supplied new artwork.
