Business card printing options

Peterkin offers more than the every-day variety of business card; lush, tactile, textured and shaped cards that are guaranteed to start a conversation. 

Although they’re small, a well-designed and beautifully printed business card makes a really memorable impression. 

Plus, business cards are perfect for designs that combine multiple print methods and finishes to make your business or brand stand out from the competition (like our Peterkin cards).

For an extra luxe look and feel we highly recommend choosing double-thick (duplexed) 600gsm+ stocks. 

Because business cards are small we recommend keeping all artwork 8-10mm from all edges this is to the very small (up to 2mm) movement with printing and trimming.

Custom Quote

There's a wide variety of business card options available to shop on our website but it’s impossible to include every option! So, if you’re looking for something that’s not available in our standard range, click here for a custom quote.

Our Customer Happiness Managers treat quote requests we receive this way as a priority. Worst case scenario is two working days response time.

Letterpress 

Single sided Letterpress is available on single thickness 300-350gsm stocks. Some show-through to the other side may be noticable. For maximum depth of the impression choose double thick (duplexed).

Double sided Letterpress is only available with double-thick (duplexed) card, otherwise the impression from one side can be seen on the reverse.

Letterpress + Digital CMYK colour/black, white, gold or silver, Hot Foil Press or Blind Emboss

300-350gsm (single thickness) stock is available if your design combines letterpress with either digital printing or hot foil press on one side only. 

For a double sided Letterpress + other finishes choose our double-thick (duplexed) option. This will give you a perfect, smooth surface on the second side for your second print finish.  

Hot Foil Press 

Available for single or double-sided designs on 300-700gsm stocks. 

There's a minimal amount of impression with Hot Foil, and depending on the stock type, some impression may be visible on the reverse with single thickness stocks.

Hot Foil Press + Digital CMYK colour/black, white, gold or silver

Available for single or double-sided designs. 

For an extra luxe look and feel we highly recommend choosing double-thick (duplexed) 600gsm+ stocks. 

Blind Emboss + Digital CMYK colour/black, white, gold or silver or Hot Foil Press

Available for single or double-sided designs on 300-700gsm stocks. 

With single-thickness 300-350gsm stocks Embossing on one side with digitally print or Hot Foil the second side you will be able the see the emboss in reverse on the second side of the card (see image below).

FRONT	BACK

If you've designed a double-sided card and you don’t want to see the Emboss on the reverse, choose double-thick (duplexed) stocks. This will give you a perfect, smooth surface on the second side for your second print finish. 

Digital CMYK colour/black, white, gold or silver

Digital printing is available single or double sided on single or double-thickness (duplexed) stocks.

Please remember that when digitally printing we experience movement of up to 2mm in any direction please keep this in mind when preparing your artwork. 

We recommend keeping all artwork 8-10mm in from all edges.  We don’t recommend borders on double sided cards as any movement that occurs will draw the eye if it’s out by 1-2mm.

Additions

Edge Foiling

Edge Foiling adds a touch of elegance to any design it looks fabulous on our 300-350gsm stocks, but you’ll get the best results on a double thick (duplexed) stock as this gives a thicker edge on the card for the foil to shine. 

Die Cut Shapes

Die cutting uses specialist machines to produce cut-out shapes. Create the same shape repeatedly with crisp, professional and consistent results every time. At Peterkin we use different methods of die cutting depending on the shape, complexity and thickness of the stock to be die cut. Traditional die cutting (using physical wooden and metal dies on our Heidelberg Platens), Digital (by laser-guided knife) and Laser die cutting (precision laser cut).
