When you order letterpress printing, you'll notice we ask you for a PMS (colour to be printed).
- We only use Pantone uncoated inks (PMS U which stands for Pantone Matching System Uncoated). These are carefully mixed by hand.
- Pantone inks are translucent which means you must choose an ink colour darker than the card to be letterpressed. You can’t letterpress lighter colours or white on to darker stocks.
-
We cannot letterpress the PMS metallic or pastel values.
Most people don't own a Pantone book (they're a bit $$$!) and it's more of a specialist tool for designers.
It can be tricky therefore to choose a colour you haven't seen!
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND choosing a Pantone colour from Our Paper Colours Values Chart - this is the easiest way to find a Pantone colour without a Pantone book to match to. There's over 100 colours to choose from!
