Trust us, we've tested and tested and tested.... a bit like those Good Housekeeping recipes!
Based on our extensive in-house research, we've carefully selected the stocks that'll work best for each process.
These are what you'll find in the stock drop-down for these products. (In some cases, when a stock's temporarily unavailable, it will be removed until we have it back in stock so if you're unsure, please ask).
Remember Digital Gold is different to Digital Gold Metallic so stock choices will be different. The same applies to Silver and Silver Metallic.
Stocks for Digital Gold and Digital Silver
The gold and silver toners are opaque (just like white), so there’s very little change in colour when printed on different coloured stocks.
However, some stocks work better than others. What works for gold doesn't necessarily work for silver. We've tested all our stocks and only offer (in the drop-down) the ones that will give a good result.
Order a printed sample to be sure you/your client are happy with the stock choice. It can be very personal!
Stocks for Digital Gold Metallics and Digital Silver Metallics
Metallics only print well on smooth, white or very light coloured stocks. We've tested our Printery stocks with all the colour combinations and again, the ones available in the drop-down, are the best choices.
A dark stock will NEVER print a Gold Metallic or Silver Metallic well. It'll look 'flat' gold or silver, depending on the base colour used.
We can't print digital gold, silver or metallics (DGSM) on envelopes or Indie Handmade due to the kind of machine feed for these items.
