Making envelopes and printing on envelopes are two of the things we are exceptionally good at.
ENVELOPE PRINTING ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
We highly recommend using our Envelope Templates to make sure your design fits on the front (and back flap if required).
Please delete the template from your design before submitting your PDF - otherwise it will print!
It’s important to supply your design correctly. Instructions vary depending on the Digital Print Type chosen (Digital White, Gold etc).
Good to know: Designs with very small or thin text or lines (including drawings) may be patchy and less legible on textured envelopes.
General requirements (all print methods)
- We print from PDF only
- Create your design in millimetres (mm) at the EXACT envelope size you're ordering - not floating on a larger page (we recommend using our templates)
- Any photos or images must be good quality. If an image appears blurry or pixelated in your design file, it will print that way
- All text and design elements must be a minimum 10mm from the edge of your design. We cannot print full bleed (to the edge) on envelopes due to their construction, folds and gluing
- For multiple names and addresses on your envelopes, have one per page. i.e. if you have 50 names and addresses, your PDF should be 50 pages long
- If you have trouble setting up your design, please research the particular program you're using
- We're not responsible for quality issues due to poor quality artwork, however if there are order issues, or your design isn’t suitable to print under our Artwork Guidelines, we'll contact you
Digital CMYK Colour / Black
No special instructions. Please be aware that screen colours can present very differently to the printed results and will always look slightly different to what you see on screen.
Envelope colour also affects your result. Printing on a coloured stock changes how your design colours appear - for example, a pink design printed onto a light blue envelope will appear more purple toned.
More about digital colour printing
Digital White
Please create your design as 100% Black CMYK (0/0/0/100) or #000000 in Canva. Your black design will print as white.
Digital Gold
Adobe InDesign / Illustrator or similar program: Create a Spot colour. It's crucial that your Illustrator or InDesign document is using the CMYK profile
- Create a Red spot colour (CMYK 0/100/100/0) and named: Gold
Canva or similar program using HEX colour codes:
- Create your design in the red colour #ff0000. Save you PDF with the RGB Color Profile
