Printing envelopes - setting up your artwork for digital gold

Digital gold printing is available on a large selection of Peterkin envelopes!

We've extensively tested every envelope in our range as some colours are unsuitable for the gold printing process (there's not enough contrast for the digital gold to print well).

So, when you're ordering printing for your envelopes, if digital gold printing is NOT shown as an option, then you know that the envelope colour you've chosen is not suitable.

How to set up your artwork

Digital Gold 

Create a red spot colour (CMYK 0/100/100/0) and name it: Gold

If you're using Illustrator or InDesign then your document must be set up using the CMYK profile.

If you're using Canva

Canva can't create spot colours so design your artwork with this HEX value #ff0000 (red). Please share your PDF with the RGB Color profile selected.

Don't forget that very thin or small text may not be legible especially on textured paper like the Woodland range. This is especially important to consider on envelopes as you'll want your addresses to be legible!
