Very thin strokes (including typefaces) aren't recommended. As a guide we recommend your typeface is a minimum 7pt and no stroke is thinner than 0.25pt.
Digital Flat Foil + Digital CMYK Colour / Black printing
- Areas to be Digitally Foiled MUST NOT TOUCH the CMYK printed design.
- We can’t Digitally Flat Foil over the top of full colour digital printing.
- Any areas of printing that interact with the Digital Flat Foil will print over the top with uncertain results, or create areas of foil that do not adhere properly to the card stock.

Q. Can my design have full bleed (right to the edge)?
A. Yes, you can have a design that's right to the edge of the card with full bleed.
Q. Can I have a die cut shape with Digital Flat Foil?
A. Yes. Digitally Flat Foiled designs are suitable for digital, laser and traditional die cutting including scoring.
Q. Can I have Digitally Flat Foil designs on envelopes?
A. No, it's not currently possible - but watch this space!
Q. Are the Digital Foil colours the same as the Hot Foil colours?
A. No, the foil colours available for Digital Flat Foil are not an identical match to the Hot Foil Colour range. You can order a swatch card with samples of the colours available here.
Q. Can I Digitally Flat Foil on any Peterkin card stock?
A. Digital Flat Foil only performs well on super smooth, silky stocks. Our current options are the Marshmallow and Milkshake ranges (not available on Milkshake Nero).
