Printing envelopes - setting up your artwork for digital gold

Digital gold printing is available on a selection of Peterkin envelopes.

After testing our range, some colours are unsuitable for Digital Gold printing (there's not enough contrast for the digital gold to print well). 

Design tip

Don't forget that very thin or small text may not be legible especially on more textured paper. Smooth stocks will give the most consistent results compared to textured envelopes like Woodland. This is especially important to consider on envelopes to make sure your addresses are legible.

How to set up your artwork

Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or program that can create Spot colours

Create a red Spot Colour (CMYK 0/100/100/0) and name it: Gold

Your document must be set up using the CMYK profile.

Canva users

Canva can't create spot colours so design your artwork with this HEX value #ff0000 (red). Please share your PDF with the RGB Color profile selected.
