Because Pantone inks are translucent (not opaque like Digital White Ink or Hot Foil), if you choose an ink that's lighter than your stock, the result will be hardly visible (and therefore disappointing), or a very different shade.
You can’t letterpress lighter colours or white on to darker stock.
If you'd like a lighter or white design on dark or black stocks, then we recommend choosing either Digital white ink, Gold or Silver or Hot foiling.
