One of the things we love most about our paper are the materials it’s made from – it’s what makes it so touchy-feely and perfectly imperfect!
All of our paper and card stocks (including our rigid signage) are made from 100% plant-based materials. Cellulose fibres from wood, grasses, cotton, and other plants are used in the paper making process.
Because it’s a natural product, there will always be very subtle variations in colour, texture pattern, and even paper thickness (unless you’re an expert you’d never notice!) from each milled batch.
With some stocks, you may also notice occasional tiny flecks of material ‘in the pulp’. This is more noticeable on white or pale coloured paper and card.
We quality control our stocks for any removable marks, but occasional plant particles within the stock itself are an unavoidable part of the paper milling process and are not a product defect. Indie Handmade or Gmund Heidi are made from 100% recycled materials and have plant flecks and inconsistencies between sheets that are a natural part of the stock and not a fault.
