How do I set up my artwork for Digital Metallic Colours?

We can print as many metallic colours as you want on the same artwork as long as they have the same base ink (gold or silver). We can't print Silver Metallic and Gold Metallic (or Silver and Gold) on the same file.

Our Artwork Guidelines will give you more information on how to set up your files.

You'll need Illustrator or InDesign to use the swatches for Digital Metallic Colours. (The swatches will only work with these programs, not currently with Canva as Canva doesn't support spot colours.) 

First download our digital metallic swatches and away you go!

How to install them:

Illustrator

1. Download our swatches from the link above
2. Open the Swatches Panel in Illustrator (Window > Swatches) 
3. Click the Swatch Libraries Menu in the bottom left of the Panel (the bookshelf icon)
4. Click Other Library...
5. Select the ASE file you downloaded from the link above and click open to install.
6. Your swatches will open up in a new swatch palette.

InDesign

1. Download our swatches from the link above
2. Open your swatch palette in InDesign (Window > Colour > Swatches)
3. Click the flyout menu (top-right) and choose "Load Swatches" 
4. Select the ASE file you downloaded from the link above and click open to install.

IMPORTANT!!!

Do not change the name or edit the swatches. If you do, it won't work on our end.

It won't work in CANVA!
