All about Digital Gold, Silver and Metallic Colours swatches and how to use them

Firstly, you only need to use our swatches if you want to use the Metallic Colours these are labelled GM01, GM02 etc. Metallic Colours use a gold or silver base colour with CMYK colour to give the metallic colour effect.

If you want to print in Gold or Silver then set your artwork up as 100% black.

Metallic Colours are only available to wholesale/trade customers. Artwork must be designed in Adobe Illustrator or InDesign to use our swatches.		Available for all customers. Please make sure your artwork is supplied in 100% black CMYK #000000.

You'll need Illustrator or InDesign to use them. These are ONLY for digital gold and silver metallics, and are NOT to be used if ordering Hot Foil Press, Letterpress, or digital colour printing.

How to install them:

Illustrator

1. Download our swatches from the link below
2. Open the Swatches Panel in Illustrator (Window > Swatches) 
3. Click the Swatch Libraries Menu in the bottom left of the Panel (the bookshelf icon)
4. Click Other Library...
5. Select the ASE file you downloaded from the link below and click open to install.
6. Your swatches will open up in a new swatch palette.

InDesign

1. Download our swatches from the link below
2. Open your swatch palette in InDesign (Window > Colour > Swatches)
3. Click the flyout menu (top-right) and choose "Load Swatches" 
4. Select the ASE file you downloaded from the link below and click open to install.

IMPORTANT!!!

Do not change the name or edit the swatches. If you do, it won't work on our end.
